Stars & Stripes Honor Flight (May-July):
Stars & Stripes Honor Flight celebrates veterans with flights to Washington, D.C. and tours of war memorials.
Total Amount Raised May-July 2023: $100,000
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin (August-October):
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is a food bank that distributes more than 20 million pounds of food a year to 1,000 pantries, meal programs and other nonprofit agencies that serve 330,000 people in eastern Wisconsin.
Total Amount Raised 2022: Over $70,000 and 120,000lbs of food!
MACC Fund (November-January):
MACC is short for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. Childhood cancer is the leading disease-related cause of death in children after the newborn period, and since 1976, the MACC Fund has contributed $45 million dollars to childhood cancer and related blood disorder research.
Total Amount Raised November 2022-January 2023: $105,000
Sendik’s teamed up with three local humane societies this spring for a philanthropic campaign centered around animal welfare – Cause for Paws.
With the help of the Wisconsin Humane Society of Milwaukee and Ozaukee Counties (WHS), the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County (HAWS) and the Washington County Humane Society (WCHS), Sendik’s will host pet adoption clinics outside our stores over the course of six weekends.
Sendik’s offered a Round Up program, as well as an animal-themed curly straw for purchase for $1. The goal was to raise funds for the shelters’ pet food pantries and help keep animals in good health at the shelters. Sendik’s also partnered with various local pet suppliers for samples and deals during the campaign.
