Enjoy Sendik's All Week

Good morning and welcome to this week’s especially delicious edition of Enjoy Sendik’s All Week.  As usual I have three recipes to help you make good use of the ingredients that are featured in this week’s Sendik’s sale ad.  These are some of my favorite go-to dishes, so let’s get to it.

Squash season is upon us, friends.  This fall I’m going to try a variety or two that I’ve never attempted before (spaghetti squash, for sure).  But before I do, I’ll just throw out this terrific Cavatappi with Roasted Butternut Squash recipe to you.  It’s sort of mac and cheesy in it’s consistency, although it only calls for a small amount of good quality Parmesan.  Terrific as a vegetarian main course or as a dinner party starter; look for sale butternut squash.

Bargain hunting carnivores, toss this Ginger and Soy Marinated Steak on the grill while the weather is still nice.  Sendik’s Natural Top Sirloin Steaks are on sale and pulling this marinade together could not be easier.  In addition to the steak, Idaho baking potatoes and fresh asparagus are also on special.  Voila!  Dinner is served.

And last but not least, don’t forget about this awesome Panko Crusted Salmon.  I love the crunchy topping, and as you probably know by now, sear roasting is my favorite technique for cooking fish.  It’s no fail and yields perfect salmon every time, so give it a try sometime soon.   Sendik’s Fresh Faroe Island Farm Raised Salmon is on sale this week.
