Sendik’s Express is an online store, accessed via sendiks.com, where you can shop electronically for your groceries and either pick them up at your neighborhood Sendik’s or have them delivered to your home.
We temporarily authorize your card for the higher of $5 or 15% of the item total. It helps account for charges like bottle deposits, final sales tax, and items sold by weight. As soon as your order is complete, we charge your card for exactly what was in your final order. PLEASE NOTE: Adding any items to your order may result in ADDITIONAL pending hold(s) for the new total of your order.
Up until the point your order is being selected, you are welcome to update your order. You can update your order by clicking My Account, then My Orders. After clicking on your order number, you will be able to update accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE: If you make any changes to your order that exceed the provisional hold, the system will require an additional provisional hold for each new estimated total of your order. Your bank may not let go of the original hold for up to one week. Please know that this is a limitation enforced by your bank and not by Sendik’s.
Each store has dedicated Personal Shoppers. Shoppers are Sendik’s employees (we do not use a third party service to select your products). These shoppers are focused on quality and ensuring you enjoy the best online grocery shopping experience, period.
In the event an item is unavailable and you have indicated that you allow substitutions, your Personal Shopper will substitute a similar item. You can even select a specific substitute item for any of the items in your order by clicking or tapping the “Add Substitution” button. Please note, during your online shopping experience, you will also have the opportunity to select “No Substitution” on a per product basis.
Orders can be placed no sooner than 4 hours in advance of pickup. Delivery orders and morning pickup orders may require additional lead time. The website will always show you any available pickup or delivery times at the banner at the top of the page and at time of checkout.
In the event you do not receive an email confirmation, please check your SPAM folder or other alternate email folders. In addition, please ensure that you have submitted the order on the final checkout screen and have received an order confirmation number.
If your order contains alcoholic items, upon pickup, you must have proper identification ready for the Personal Shopper and provide a signature upon receipt of goods. If a minor will be picking up the order, the alcohol will be removed from the order. According to local ordinance we are unable to deliver products that contain alcohol.
Yes, by clicking the Weekly Ad in the Top Navigation Bar, you will be brought to the Weekly Ad. To take advantage of this pricing, your pickup must occur within the ad’s sale dates. You will always receive the same pricing available in our stores on the day of your pickup.
When you submit your order, your credit card will be pre-authorized for the total order amount, including the estimated total for the order, a provisional charge, and pick-up or delivery fee. Ultimately, the final amount you will be charged will be based on the price of items in our stores on the day of pickup or delivery. The final amount charged will include only the items selected for you, the pick-up or delivery fee, and the exact weight of any items sold by the pound.
