Glenmorangie Whisky, Highland Single Malt Scotch

One 750 ml bottle and two glass tumblers. The original. Perfected by the sixteen men of Tain. The home of Glenmorangie is in the far North or Scotland, in the Royal Burgh of Tain; where the Glenmorangie Distillery was established in 1843. This land was once Inhibited by the Picts, an ancient and mysterious civilisation whose lasting legacy is in the form of ornately-decorated standing stones. The Cadboll Stone, erected in the 8th century, is a particularly fine example of these Pictish monuments. Its central motif, the signet, has been adopted by Glenmorangie and become its brand emblem. The Tallest Stills in Scotland: Our stills are the tallest in Scotland - at 5.14 metres, they are as tall as a fully-grown giraffe. Only the lightest and purest vapours can ascend to the top of the long copper still necks. This determines Glenmorangie's famously elegant character and delicious floral and fruity notes. Perfect Balance: At Glenmorangie, we select only the finest oak casks in which to mature our single malt whisky. Each oak cask is used only twice to ensure that the maximum amount of flavour is extracted, imparting the perfect balance of tastes and aromas. Pioneers in Extra Maturation: Glenmorangie pioneered extra maturation over 20 years ago. Our Whisky Creators travel the world in their continuing search for exceptional casks - casks which will provide additional, intriguing layers of flavours to complement the original character of Glenmorangie. Our pioneering research into the effect of wood selection on whisky maturation is exemplified in the three whiskies in the Glenmorangie Extra Matured range: The Glenmorangie Quinta Rubin, where mature whisky is transferred from the American white oak cask in which it has been maturing for ten years, and then extra matured in the finest Ruby Port casks from the Quintas or wine estates of Portugal.
